About VibecodedThis
VibecodedThis is an independent comparison site for AI coding tools. We aggregate publicly available pricing, features, and capability data so developers can make informed choices without wading through marketing pages.
Who's Behind This
VibecodedThis was started by a former Googler turned vibe-coder who got tired of manually comparing AI coding tools every time a new one launched. Rather than keep a private spreadsheet, the obvious answer was to build a site that does it for everyone. This entire site was vibe-coded using the tools it reviews.
What We Do (and Don't Do)
We're a data aggregator, not an opinionated reviewer. Here's what that means:
- We show facts side by side — pricing, capabilities, platform support
- We don't pick winners — no scores, no rankings, no "Editor's Choice" badges
- We don't claim to test everything — capabilities shown are based on official documentation and public sources, not proprietary benchmarks
- A dash means unknown — if we can't verify a feature, we leave it blank rather than guess
Where Our Data Comes From
We use many of these tools ourselves, but we don't claim to have personally tested all 33 in depth. Instead, we cross-reference official documentation, product changelogs, developer forums, and community reports to build a comprehensive picture of each tool. Every pricing entry links to its official source with a verification date.
This approach lets us cover the full landscape honestly rather than pretend we've spent 100 hours with every tool. Where our direct experience is limited, the data speaks for itself — and we're upfront about what we haven't verified.
How We Make Money
Some links on this site are or will be affiliate links. If you click one and sign up, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence what data we show or how comparisons are structured. Free and open-source tools with no affiliate program get the same coverage as everything else. See our full affiliate disclosure.
Our Standards
We wrote an Ethics & Transparency page that spells out our approach to accuracy, fairness, and editorial independence. The short version: we'd rather show less data than show wrong data.
